Soles4Souls partners with Bon-Ton Stores

RBR Staff Writer Published 11 November 2011

Soles4Souls, an international shoe charity, has partnered with US-based retailer The Bon-Ton Stores, for a trade-in boot drive for the second year.

The retailer will collect customers' gently worn boots for charity between 2 to 12 November 2011.

Customers who donate gently worn boots at any of the Bon-Ton store will get $15 off their boot purchase of $50 or more.

In September, Bon-Ton and Soles4Souls partnered for Sole Sisters Shoe Shopping Events. $1 was donated for every pair of shoes purchased and the partnership successfully raised $21,316 dollars for Soles4Souls.

Soles4Souls collects new shoes to give relief to the victims of abject suffering and collects used shoes to support micro-enterprise efforts to eradicate poverty.

The Bon-Ton Stores operates 276 stores, including 11 furniture galleries, in 23 states of the US under the Bon-Ton, Bergner's, Boston Store, Carson's, Elder-Beerman, Herberger's, Younkers and Parisian nameplate.
