RoomStore reports desired results from Demand Solutions' inventory planning software
RoomStore, the US-based online furniture retailer, recently posted satisfactory results of deploying Demand Solutions' Forecast Management and Requirements Planning software a year back. The objective was to automate and streamline RoomStore's inventory planning process and supply chain.
Previously, the e-retailer relied only on green bar reports to plan its inventory. This constantly put the company in an over- or under-stock situation. However, the new software solution has helped improve forecasts and inventory management for RoomStore by optimizing inventory and making forecasts 15% more accurate. RoomStore's analysts have been able to shoulder additional responsibilities, which in turn has reduced overall expenses for the company.
Most importantly, Demand Solutions' software is an affordable and easy-to-use solution to manage seasonality and long lead times. It also manages SKU effectively, and improves fill rates. In fact, the Forecast Management and Requirements Planning software has reduced inventory by 33% year over year.
